Florida mailbox guide
Forwarding Florida mail overseas
Check international letter and package eligibility at the location you are considering.
Letters and packages are separate questions
A listing that says “mail forwarding” does not tell you whether a package can reach your country. Check the item type, destination and exact mail center before buying.
- Does this location ship documents to my country?
- Does it also ship packages internationally?
- Which handling charges apply before carrier postage?
- Can items be combined, and what does that cost?
- What happens to an item the location cannot forward?
Why the exact location matters
iPostal1’s Tampa listings illustrate the difference. The North Dale Mabry Highway location at number 15017 limits document shipments to the US, Canada and Mexico, with domestic packages only. The listing at 4522 W Village Drive allows international shipping. A brand name alone is not enough to confirm suitability.
Check the policy for each type of item
Your Tax Base lists worldwide letter forwarding and US-only package forwarding. That distinction matters if your mail includes purchases as well as documents. For any service, confirm the destination and item restrictions before arranging delivery to the mailbox.
Choosing a mailbox while abroad →Get a useful postage estimate
Supply the destination, approximate weight, dimensions and desired speed. A handling fee is not a postage quote, and an estimate for a thin letter does not price a parcel. Ask about tracking and any customs requirements for the item.
